For AirVenture 2025, we would love to see you and have you join us in our meetup! We are planning on meeting on Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:00 AM local! Current meeting place inside AirVenture in the Warbirds area at Fightertown Cafe. This is due directly west of Warbirds HQ (map).

During the airshow, 146.520 simplex is the “hotspot” for talking to other hams! It will also serve as the de facto talk-in frequency for our meeting. 446.000 simplex and C4FM group monitor on 145.5625 have also been active frequencies used at AirVenture by hams.

There is also a nightly ragchew on 146.52 approximately at 8:00pm local with hams staying in Camp Scholler, the North and South 40, and other hams in the area.

Other Happenings at AirVenture:
There is a DSTAR repeater on-site: WB9SLI 145.345 -0.6, internet link to Wisconsin Digital Network System.

Also check out W9W at Warbirds with their special event station sponsored by Icom as well as the W9ZL (Fox Valley group) at Pioneer Airport operating a special event station at KidVenture! W9ZL is currently looking for volunteer operators who are ARRL members. Volunteers working a 4 hour shift get free admission for the day to the event grounds.

ICOM and Yaesu will both be have booths in hangar 2. ICOM – booth 2026, Yaesu – booth 2089.
We will miss the ARRL and West Mountain Radio as they will not be at AirVenture this year.

Additionally, check out HamActive to participate in the Summer Thunder VHF/UHF simplex event! AirVenture is a great way to roll up some points!!! 2m and 70cm simplex as well as 927.100 are great frequencies to roll up points. Also: 147.555 (C4FM), 145.790 (DMR TG99 TS1 CC1) 145.670 (DSTAR), 446.600 (C4FM), 446.075 (DMR TG99 TS1 CC1) 446.225 (DSTAR).
